JANUARY 2010 LATEST NEWS!
3 years now since the studio opened in my new location! Highlights of 2009 were completion of the excellent CDs for Paul Oxborrow and Nicole Lazarus, and a very busy day with local youngsters Fire Up Mary, a great band based around the songs of Rosie Hodgson. First time for a full-size rock drumkit in the studio - a bit of a squeeze but we coped!. You can hear the results on their myspace page.
And I had a great location recording weekend for a new album for Leeds CCE (traditional Irish Music association). Can't believe it's 5 years since their last sold-out CD The Music Makers! Previous clients Tina Taylor and Soiree heve done well with last year's CDs - and of course the Mally marathon continues - 960 tunes recorded, 40 to go! A new Mally Scottish tunes CD is currently in its final stages in addition to our major project. Mally's website lists all the CDs we have done together over the years. Spring 2010 - looking forward to a new project with the excellent bluegrass band The Southdown Ramblers, completion of the Leeds project and more Fire Up Mary..
