And thanks to everyone in the Yorkshire area for welcoming me back into the fold after 5 years down south!
The first six months have been eventful, with the completion of my studio installation , my election to the Folk, Roots and Traditional Music committee of the Musicians' Union, and increased activity on the gigging front. Slowly but surely, gigs are being set up for myself solo, for my duo with Chris Parkinson, and for a new Irish pub trio, The Rogues, with Aidan Kilroy (bodhran/vocals) and Martin Lennon (whistles).
To help with all this, I welcome back on board my collaboration with Bob Gilchrist at Oscar Music Agency (for Scottish gigs) and welcome new boy Aidan Williams at GPS Music Artists in Yorkshire. GPS have been specialising in booking a small stable of mostly Yorkshire-based artists for about 18 months now, carefully and steadily establishing a reputation. I'm flattered that they have taken me on solo and with Chris.
Of course anyone is welcome to contact me personally via this website's contact link, but it is a great help to have experienced agency bookers beavering away behind the scenes.

The main event of my summer 2007 was the release by Rocking Chair Music of my Celtic Session Guitar Accompaniment DVD.
Just before my move down to the south of England Chris Parkinson and I spent a strenuous but rewarding day recording this DVD, with Tom Bliss at the cameras. Then I had another couple of intensive days editing and mastering with Ewan MacGregor (no, not that one) at Temple Records in Scotland. Finally, the resulting DVD was taken up by Steve and Joe Heap at Rocking Chair Records. They did a great job manufacturing, marketing and selling the product - I couldn't have done it without all those people. Any musicians reading this - making an audio CD is a walk in the park compared to doing a tutor DVD! Here's the best kind of review - an unsolicited e-mail from the heart of Gaeldom:
