JANUARY 2010 NEWS UPDATE
Thank you all for re-visiting this page. My updates are becoming less and less frequent as my life settles into its new annual routine. I'm not complaining about this in the slightest! Those of you who have followed my career will know that I had my share of the hectic touring life for many, many years. Having said that though, I've just heard I may be a bit more on the road in Europe this year coming - watch this space.
2009 brought with it a very few but very excellent gigs, a few new festivals as a sound engineer, some great times in the studio (check out my Glade Recordings page) and a continuation of my part-time job for the New Park Community and Arts Association in Chichester. It also brought contacts via e-mail and myspace from a few friends from a long, long time ago - thanks for getting in touch!

I also had the amazing experience of plunging into the deep end of the left-handed guitar world! This involved an amazing amount of work but it has been an enjoyable ride - one guitar customer said "You realise you've just opened the best lefty guitar shop in the world!" The main event of my summer 2007 was the release by Rocking Chair Music of my Celtic Session Guitar Accompaniment DVD.
Just before my move down to the south of England Chris Parkinson and I spent a strenuous but rewarding day recording this DVD, with Tom Bliss at the cameras. Then I had another couple of intensive days editing and mastering with Ewan MacGregor (no, not that one) at Temple Records in Scotland. Finally, the resulting DVD was taken up by Steve and Joe Heap at Rocking Chair Records. They did a great job manufacturing, marketing and selling the product - I couldn't have done it without all those people. Any musicians reading this - making an audio CD is a walk in the park compared to doing a tutor DVD! Here's the best kind of review - an unsolicited e-mail from the heart of Gaeldom:
